Gearing Up Videos - YouTube Site Removed By Google

As some of you may have discovered, the YouTube page associated with Jockstrap Junction has been removed by Google, owner of YouTube.  This is part of an ongoing battle I seem to be having with Google, and in some ways I understand their position with respect to the YouTube site.  At the present time, I do not have any plans to either contest what Google has done, or to try to remake the YouTube site over in a way that might be acceptable.  My attempts to do so with Picasa were never even addressed by anyone at Google, and as a result, I lost hundreds of photos and images, many of them of myself, to Google.

It does seem to me, however, that Google has, recently, taken an extremely conservative stance with respect to at least some alleged pornographic content on its services.  Yet, other Blogger blogs which are arguably far more obscene and pornographic are left alone.  If there is some methodology on Google's part, I would like to know what it is.

I fear that the Internet's freedom and open-ness is retracting a bit in the area of adult information, services and multi-media content.  I am troubled by the .XXX domain extensions, Google's actions, and am informed that Facebook takes down any page even referencing the term "bareback."  For now, it remains to be seen what or how far these developments will go.  In the meantime, I will let you all know what video-related service or site (or combination) will take the place of the YouTube site.

Gearing Up Videos, No 1

I am going to take a stab at adding a third regular weekly feature to JSJ.  This one is more ambitious than the previous features I have added:  "Peek of the Week" and "Hump Day Bulge" 

I hope to incorporate more video into JSJ, without making JSJ a carbon copy of sites geared mainly toward XXX vids.  There are a surprising number of videos posted to various non-adult outlets (YouTube, Vimeo, e.g.) featuring jocks and hot guys in their undergear doing this or that.  Sometimes they are modeling, sometimes performing their sports, and sometimes just clowning around.

Regardless, these videos are often really great, and for that reason, I would like to incorporate them into JSJ.  This regular feature will be called "Gear Up Videos," and I will be posting these on Fridays as we all "gear up" for "weekend warrior" time.

I think you will enjoy this new feature.  You may have already noticed that I have included videos at the bottom right-hand sidebar of the blog.  For the time being, I will continue to post the new videos there, keeping two posted on the blog and archiving the older ones as they drop off.

This new feature also opens up the possibility of you, the readers, submitting vids in addition to pics.  If you would like to, please let me know.  Vids should be about 5 mins. in length, give or take.

Jockstrap Junction's YouTube Channel - Update

I have just set up a YouTube site for JockstrapJunction.com.  I hope to post some really awesome and unusual videos there on subjects of interest that will promote our site and its subjects.

I have started combing the Intenet for some to pique your enjoyment.
