Vintage Gay Porn

Do you like vintage gay porn?  If so, then you should definitely check out Vintage Gay Stars, a great blog filled with video clips, photos and articles about the yesteryear of gay porn.  As a category, vintage gay porn has an incredibly loyal following, and though not a fan for many years, I have come to appreciate the uniqueness of many directors' works, including Joe Gage and Jean Daniel-Cadinot.

Do you have a favorite vintage porn website or other online resource?  If so, please recommend it here so I can review it.  I am building an omnibus collection of gay adult-related links and online information, using the Pearltrees bookmarking service.  If your recommendation is a good one, I will add it to the vintage gay porn category.

If you are interested in my rapidly growing collectionat Pearltrees, take a look at it here. Here is a screenshot of the landing page, too.  Feel free to join my teams and add your links directly:

"Vintage" Jockstrap Photos Represent Part Of Gay Heritage

For those of you who enjoy "vintage" photographs of male erotica art, I strongly encourage you to go over to Jock Feast 2 and check out the wonderful assortment of photos assembled under the label "vintage."  Recently, I did an article here on the history of jockstraps, but my photos were nowhere near as good quality or varied as what you will find at Jock Feast 2.  I took the liberty of reposting just a few of them at the end of this article so as to further encourage you to visit Jock Feast 2 and view all of the "vintage" collection.

Ironically, now that the medium used to take these photos is no longer available, we turn to digital image "manipulation" software to make modern photos appear as these do.  We call it "retro" "vintage" "60s" "vignettes" or some other similar terms to convey a growing realization of their historical significance.

I believe these photographs represent a significant part of our art and cultural heritage.  As we age, that word "heritage" starts to take on a different meaning, doesn't it?  The things we enjoyed as young men become more akin to items in a museum, to some even relics or artifacts.  Such is life, I suppose.  What is most important, however, is that we realize that these photographs are not "pornography" and certainly not "obscene."  Regardless of what prior generations of blue-haired old ladies might have thought about them, to think of them as "porno" is almost laughable when compared to the constellation of adult content one can find on the Internet.  Many of these photographs continue to depict an almost school-boy innocence by comparison.

Thanks to Jock Feast 2 for making their high quality photographs available for everyone to view in one location.  Many other sites offer other excellent photographs of male erotica from earlier times.  Some even include relatively thoughtful historical discussion about the topic and even the models.  However, they are not necessarily geared towards guys in gear, if you get my meaning; whereas, Jock Feast 2's photos are squarely focused on the topic at hand.

Christmas being just around the corner, for those of you into books, there is also an excellent book available at Amazon.comhttp://www.amazon.com called Uncovered:  Rare Vintage Male Nudes, which looks like it might be worth adding to one's collection.

Gearing Up Video - Vintage Jockstrap Wrestlers

Found and posted a really cool vintage video of 2 guys wrestling in jockstraps.  Interesting to see how far we've come.  Check it out!  I am posting this as the next Gearing Up video.  I am playing catch up, so sorry for my tardiness.

Go Softwear Goes Vintage

From porn to clothes, everyone seems to dig "vintage," a slightly less hip way of saying "retro," I suppose.  Underwear designer Go Softwear recently unveiled their new "vintage wash" undies, which look great.  Here is a great pic showing off their new/old style in green, just in time for St. Patty's Day:
The vintage wash comes in a variety of colors also, if green isn't your thing. Thanks to UnderwearFanatic.com for the story.
