"Vintage" Jockstrap Photos Represent Part Of Gay Heritage

For those of you who enjoy "vintage" photographs of male erotica art, I strongly encourage you to go over to Jock Feast 2 and check out the wonderful assortment of photos assembled under the label "vintage."  Recently, I did an article here on the history of jockstraps, but my photos were nowhere near as good quality or varied as what you will find at Jock Feast 2.  I took the liberty of reposting just a few of them at the end of this article so as to further encourage you to visit Jock Feast 2 and view all of the "vintage" collection.

Ironically, now that the medium used to take these photos is no longer available, we turn to digital image "manipulation" software to make modern photos appear as these do.  We call it "retro" "vintage" "60s" "vignettes" or some other similar terms to convey a growing realization of their historical significance.

I believe these photographs represent a significant part of our art and cultural heritage.  As we age, that word "heritage" starts to take on a different meaning, doesn't it?  The things we enjoyed as young men become more akin to items in a museum, to some even relics or artifacts.  Such is life, I suppose.  What is most important, however, is that we realize that these photographs are not "pornography" and certainly not "obscene."  Regardless of what prior generations of blue-haired old ladies might have thought about them, to think of them as "porno" is almost laughable when compared to the constellation of adult content one can find on the Internet.  Many of these photographs continue to depict an almost school-boy innocence by comparison.

Thanks to Jock Feast 2 for making their high quality photographs available for everyone to view in one location.  Many other sites offer other excellent photographs of male erotica from earlier times.  Some even include relatively thoughtful historical discussion about the topic and even the models.  However, they are not necessarily geared towards guys in gear, if you get my meaning; whereas, Jock Feast 2's photos are squarely focused on the topic at hand.

Once again, I am playing a bit of catch up due to pressures of other projects and work.  I owe you guys at least a week's worth of peeks, bulges, beautiful butts, and guys in gear, right?  I am going to try my best to make it up to you.

The last pic is my favorite, and it's not really much of a fantasy.  This is how I dress for most household repairs...lol.  Outside chores, I usually put on more.  Anyone want to come over and be my assistant for the day?  Week?  

New Site Added To Blogroll - Jocklicious

I am adding a new site to the Undergear Blogroll today.  The site is another Tumblr site, and it's called Jocklicious.

Rarely, would I say that a website has such a feast-for-the-eyes array of hot male bodies  that your mouth may actually start watering, but Jocklicious is that kind of site.  Eye candy as far as you can see!  It's a site for those of you who like the "jock," showing off mostly in sports gear, but not necessarily a site focused on the "jockstrap."

Having given Jocklicious such a favorable description, I feel the need to mention a few things that some of you might consider negatives with this site.  First, this is not a site with many amateur photos.  I went through several months of the archives to see if I could find some true amateur photos.  The few I could find going back just to late April were definitely on the high end of the amateur scale - if they were amateur at all.  If you like true amateur photos of guys, this site will not appeal to you. 

Related to the lack of amateur photos, a relatively large number of the images appear to be industry photos, so Photoshop is in full use in many of them.  My personal opinion is that a Photoshopped pic shouldn't look Photoshopped; if it does, it was done badly (excepting, of course, photos where it is intended to look PS'd).  Nevertheless, the fact that some of the photos are obviously "doctored" does not necessarily take away from their eye-popping, jaw-dropping quality - it enhances this quality in many cases.  However, there is something to be said for the "guy next door."

These are just some personal observations, not criticism.  I think this is probably one of the best array of photos I have ever seen on a site, and I definitely think you should check it out.  Examples of what you will find on Jocklicious can be seen in the next few posts here and I also have some on the Tumblr blog as well.

B&W Hot Jocks, Part 2

I started off today with a "B&W Hot Jocks" post, so I thought I would put the blog to bed tonight with a "Part 2."  Honestly, guys, I have been a bad boy the last couple of days and haven't had as much sleep as I should.  Writing long, well-thought-out posts just isn't in the cards for tonight.

This is one of the best butt pics I have seen a long time.  I increased the size of this pic enough that it makes awesome desktop wallpaper for one of the computers in my office.

And, I think this pic is truly stunning.  Here, you can see how a jockstrap frames a guy's muscular ass, drawing all attention to it.
